Wednesday, July 4th A Bright Dawn, a Fun Race, and Resting Place for Pop

One of dad's last request from me was for a copy of a picture of a Great Blue Heron that I had taken when in Florida this winter.  I had picked it up from the printer, but hadn't gotten it to him before he died.  On the morning of July 4th, I was up at dawn to enjoy the sunrise, and from the end of the point, looking out over Schuyler Island was a Great Blue Heron flying by.  Did it know that later that day we were planing on going to Schuyler Island to spread a few of dads ashes?  We were doing that instead of going to the parade, which Dad enjoyed so much,

We put a little of Dad out on Schuyler Island of the afternoon of the fourth.  This is about where he is, getting a pretty great view of The Point and the Lake.
